Instagram’s transformation into a digital mall is almost complete. The company officially brings its purchasing features to Reels, just four months after the feature first run. The application had previously tested make purchases in its TikTok-like feature, but hadn’t made the feature widely available until now.
With this change, the reels can now include product tags, which allow users to view and purchase specific products mentioned in the video. Video creators can also use tags specifically for branded content.
