Choosing the setting will reduce your data usage and allow you to listen to programs while doing other things. This should be perfect for documentaries, stand-ups, and other audio content, but won’t work as well for dramas that tell stories primarily through visuals.
It’s another way to have fun or learn while doing other things, in case you don’t have enough podcasts to listen to (lol). In fact, Netflix already produced its own podcasts, but ironically, they’re only available on Apple podcasts, Spotify, and other audio-only services. Audio-only playback is being rolled out on the Android Netflix app, but it may take some time to reach your region.
