Lin Qi, 39, founder of Yoozoo Games, died on Christmas Day after possibly being poisoned, Shanghai police said.

Shanghai police say they have arrested suspect in possible poisoning death of billionaire founder of Chinese video game company making films based on popular science fiction novel “The Three-Body Problem” .

Lin Qi, 39, died on Christmas Day after being hospitalized, according to his company Yoozoo Games Co., also known as Youzu Interactive.

According to a police statement, a 39-year-old colleague, identified only by the surname Xu, was arrested. The statement said the victim was hospitalized on December 17 and diagnosed with poisoning, but gave no further details.

An employee who answered the phone at the Shanghai Police Press Office on Monday said there was no further information to release.

Business magazine Caixin, citing unidentified industry sources, said the suspect was an employee of Yoozoo’s cinema division and was working on “The Three Bodies Problem.”

Yoozoo is also known for his game “Game of Thrones: Winter Is Coming”, based on the popular television series.

Lin was ranked 870th richest entrepreneur in China with a net worth of 6.8 billion yuan ($ 1 billion), according to Hurun Report, which tracks China’s rich.
