Star Wars Andor Series: Alan Tudyk’s K-2S0 Not Yet In The Series

Must read

While Disney + is coming Star Wars: Andor The series will see Diego Luna return as rebel Cassian Andor, it looks like Alan Tudyk’s K-2S0 is not yet part of the series … Collider About his new series Resident Alien, Tudyk mentioned that even though they are shooting the new series now, he is not one of them.

“They’re shooting it right now, I’m not in it. But, if it stays on the air, stories keep being told, I’ll end in there.” Tudyk said.He admitted that while he hasn’t been brought back as of this writing, he still seems to be drawn into the marketing of the show.

“I’m following all of these announcements for the show, and I suggested to D23 when we announced the show, that it’s called K2 Fast K2 Furious: The Cassian Andor Series and, uh, that doesn’t happen, that is called Andor! ” Tudyk joked.

He also expressed his fear that as he got older he would become harder to perform in the sophisticated combination of mo-cap required to bring K-2S0 to life.

“I know this: I have to be on stilts for this, because the character is 7’1”, and I’m not one of those who say, “Someone else is doing the motion capture, and I’m going Express it I’m going to have to do the motion capture, and I’ll be 50 in March, “Tudyk explained.” So I hope they get there soon, because I won’t be on stilts in five years. I do not do it!

Every upcoming Star Wars movie and TV show

Jokes aside, Tudyk is pretty confident that K-2S0 will make a comeback, and he even mentions that series creator and Rogue One co-writer Tony Gilroy already has an idea in mind for him.

“I’m going to be on the show. It’s just the story that Tony [Gilroy] is revealing doesn’t involve K-2SO until later … I can’t be too specific, but I can definitely say I won’t be in the first season. Tudyk confirmed.

Tudyk’s comments also seem to say that the Andor series is meant to be an ongoing series, as opposed to the limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi which is also on its way and will see the return of Darth Vader by Hayden Christensen.

Star Wars: Andor set for release on Disney + in 2022 and will take place five years before the events of Rogue One. This is one of the many Star Wars projects underway alongside others like Star Wars: Ahsoka and Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic.
