The popular Total War: Warhammer series officially continues, as Sega of Europe today announced Total War: Warhammer III. The conclusion of the Total War: Warhammer trilogy is once again led by the team at Creative Assembly and promises to immerse players in a major conflict between the demonic powers and the sentries of the mortal world.
The team promises players to make major choices in the decisive clash with a strategy on a scale larger than what the series has seen so far. This third entry will feature iconic races from World of Warhammer Fantasy Battles, including the first video game appearance of Kislev and Cathay. This entry features the most diverse group of heroes, monsters, creatures, and powers in the history of the series. All-new campaign tasks will allow players to save or harness the power of a dying god, with each race providing a unique journey through the Realm of Chaos, with an endgame focused on determining the world’s fate. .
“Our vision from the start was to create a series that felt like an incredible journey through this world that we all loved,” Game Director Ian Roxburgh said in a press release. “The tremendous support from our players to ensure the success of the first two installments has taken our ambition to new heights, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”
This game’s predecessor, Total War: Warhammer II, resonated with us, garnering a 8.75 out of 10 ratings when it launched in 2017. In this review, Daniel Tack said that “exciting new races are a nice strategy offering”. With even more races entering Total War: Warhammer III’s mix, hopefully this will once again raise the bar to provide an exciting conclusion for fans of the franchise.
We don’t know yet when Total War: Warhammer III will be available, but you can grab it from Steam, the Epic Games Store, or directly from the developer.
