Hulu added picture-in-picture support in iOS, allowing iPhone and iPad users to keep tabs on programs while browsing other apps, MacRumors reported. Support for the feature was enabled on iOS 14 when it was first launched, but Hulu the car in a later update to “work on some updates to provide the best experience for our viewers,” he said at the time.
With the feedback feature, users can simply start a show and press the PiP button to open a floating and resizable player. Hulu was one of the few apps that did not offer the feature on iOS (although it apparently was available before), joining most of the major streaming services including Disney +, Apple TV +, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. YouTube, although like MacRumors points out, it is currently offering a picture-in-picture on the web with the beta of iOS 14.5.
