Lo-fi is one of my favorite musical styles to listen to throughout the workday, so when Square Enix added some chill Final Fantasy lo-fi ringing on Spotify, my heart is really happy really quickly. The company recently added a ton of new tracks to the music streaming service, including a specially designed “Chill Out” tracklist to help chill out and unwind.
“Introducing new chill-out arrangements of music from popular Square Enix games,” says Square Enix about Spotify’s “Chill Out” album. “This album contains a selection of classic tracks, mostly taken from the 1980s versions of Squaresoft, such as Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II, Final Fantasy Legend III and Final Fantasy Adventure.”
The lo-fiesque tunes take the music from Squaresoft’s 80s releases and arrange them in the best possible way. Games like Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II, Final Fantasy Legend III and Final Fantasy Adventure.
The arrangements for this album are the brainchild of talents from around the world, including DJ Lord Echo of New Zealand, Shingo Suzuki of Oval and Shingo Sekiguchi of Origami Production, Kylie Minogue director (and pianist) Chris Gulino, and more. again.
“Delivered with soft music perfect for a relaxing moment, this album will undoubtedly bring a moment of peace to all lovers of games and relaxing music.” Adds Square.
