Former Liverpool Player Stan Collymore has claimed the Reds have four players on their transfer watch list as they look to beef up their offense this summer.
Liverpool have been in bad shape lately and have lost a record six straight games at Anfield. They also managed just three wins in the premier league this year and fell to eighth place in the standings.
Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino last scored for the Reds in January, while Mohamed salahThe shape of the company has also fallen in recent weeks.
Collymore have claimed Liverpool need more freshness on their attack and put the quartet of Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, Ansu Fati and Myron Boadu on their transfer list.
Liverpool should step up their attack
Although Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has insisted the club don’t need a summer rebuild, it would be a surprise if they didn’t add more freshness to their attack.
The Reds are likely to sign another defender to increase their depth, but their offense has been the same for some time now and needs some new ideas.
Diogo Jota was signed last summer, and the Portugal international took over before an unfortunate ankle injury halted all the momentum he had built.
Jota is seen as a long-term replacement for Sadio Mane, who is much older. With the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi not impressing consistently, it’s likely they’ll be shipped for new blood this summer.
The names Collymore mentioned won’t come cheap, however. While Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish will likely cost over £ 70million, Ansu Fati has a £ 344million release clause.
Although Fati probably won’t cost that much, Barcelona will still demand a high fee for the talented winger.
Haaland and Grealish would be good additions to the squad as they would add more creativity and purpose. However, to sign both or even one of them without Champions League football, Liverpool may have to sell most of their fringe players and even one of their famous top three.
