Resident Evil 2 remake actors reprise their roles in Netflix animated series

Netflix has announced that Resident Evil 2 Remake cast Stephanie Panisello and Nick Apostolides will return to vocal series mainstays Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy in the upcoming CGI animated series. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.The news was confirmed alongside a first synopsis for the series, which describes a reunion between the two at the White House.

“In 2006, there were traces of inappropriate access to secret presidential files found in the White House network. US Federal Agent Leon S. Kennedy is part of the group invited to the White House to investigate this incident, but when the lights suddenly go out, Leon and the SWAT team are forced to take down a horde of mysterious zombies. .

Meanwhile, TerraSave staff member Claire Redfield encounters a mysterious image drawn by a young person in a country she has visited, while giving her support to the refugees. Haunted by this drawing, which seems to be a victim of a viral infection, Claire launches her own investigation. The next morning, Claire goes to the White House to ask for the construction of a wellness center. There, she has a chance to find Leon and takes the opportunity to show him the boy’s drawing. Leon seems to realize some kind of connection between the White House zombie outbreak and the bizarre drawing, but he tells Claire that there is no relationship and leaves.

Over time, these two zombie outbreaks in distant lands lead to events that shake the nation to the core.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness was officially revealed in September 2020, during Capcom’s TGS Live 2020 broadcast. Infinite Darkness has been confirmed to be located in the canon of the game franchise.

The future is bright for Resident Evil fans, with Netflix also currently working on an adaptation of the Resident Evil live-action series, and a separate, new original film project in progress at Constantine Film with Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield and Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy. Additionally, Resident Evil Village is coming to PC and consoles on May 7.
