Five Bethesda Games Get Xbox Series X FPS Boost Today

Must read

Microsoft announced FPS Boost back in february this year, sharing another new way that Xbox further enhances the gaming experience on the next generation of consoles. With the Bethesda acquisition now final, this performance boost will be added to five titles under the ZeniMax umbrella, including Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and Dishonored.

The addition of FPS Boost makes the Xbox experience even better, a feature that aims to add a variety of new methods to double (or even quadruple) the original frame rates of previous titles. With the arrival of 20 Bethesda games joining Xbox Game Pass, the following adventures will benefit from this FPS jumpstart later today:

  • Dishonored: Definitive Edition
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition
  • Fallout 4
  • Fallout 76
  • Prey

“FPS Boost uses a variety of new methods to almost double the original frame rate on some titles,” Microsoft says of the latest games to get that boost in a new Xbox Wire Publish. “Higher and more stable frame rates make games visually smoother, resulting in more immersive gameplay. We have partnered closely with the developers to enhance the experience while maintaining the original intent of the game. And while not applicable to all games, these new techniques can push game engines to render faster for a smooth experience beyond what the original game might have offered due to the hardware’s capabilities to. back then. For the five titles we shared today, gamers can expect to see an increase from 30 fps to almost 60 fps while activating FPS Boost. “

Other games that feature FPS Boost include:

  • Far cry 4
  • New Super Lucky Tale
  • Sniper 4
  • UFC 4
  • Watch dogs 2

From 30 FPS jumping to 60 (and even 60 see a jump to 120 FPS!), The addition of FPS Boost is another incentive for Xbox gamers to look into Xbox Game Pass. Not only does this service offer features like this, but it also includes day one launch titles at no additional cost. The library is also constantly expanding, as confirmation that Outriders will be available on Day 1 on Game Pass.

The company also added that games like Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 will not automatically have FPS Boost enabled on Xbox Series X and S, but it’s as easy as going to the “manage game” section and l ‘activate. This toggle will also be an option for Auto HDR.
