Now may be the time to review The outer worlds, at least if you own one of the latest game consoles. Above release the paid Murder on Eridanos DLC (more on that in a minute), Obsidian has delivered a patch 1.5.0 which lifts the frame rate limit for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X players (sorry, S series the owners). It’s not a full-blown visual upgrade, but the extra speed could make a difference in combat.
The Murder on Eridanos The DLC, meanwhile, tasks you with solving the death of Rizzo’s spokesperson, Halcyon Helen, using a new Discrepancy Amplifier. It’s not an open-ended affair, as you can guess, and your quest will take you to a wide range of locations (such as the Grand Colonial Hotel) while also offering new weapons, armor, and abilities. The add-on is now available to PlayStation, Xbox and PC players either alone or as part of the Game Expansion Pass.
It can be a bittersweet moment – Eridanos is the last DLC you can get this way. It’s no surprise when The outer worlds is a year and a half old, but it might soon be time to focus on future Obsidian games like Based.
