Before he succeeds cinemas, Sega’s Sonic has appeared in several animated series, including the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and now it’s back to the small screen. In a tweet that Netflix has since deleted, the company announced that it is working on a Sonic the Hedgehog 3D animated series.

From the little tidbits shared by Netflix, we know the show will start airing in 2022, which means it will miss Sonic’s 30th birthday. The company also said Wild Brain and Man of Action Entertainment are in production. The first worked on Netflix Carmen sandiego series, while the latter co-wrote Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon for Disney XD.
