Ring Police Collaborations did not slow down in 2020 despite the controversies – if anything, they increased. the Financial Times reports as the security brand for the smart home owned by Amazon now 2,014 partnerships with police and firefighters in the United States, of which 1,189 were added in 2020. Montana and Wyoming are the only two states where Ring does not have an alliance.

These departments also use teams. Ring said ministries requested videos for more than 22,335 incidents in 2020. There was no comparable data for 2019, but some first responders were busier than others. Milwaukee police, for example, have requested videos for 431 incidents just in the second half of 2020 due to a high level of homicides.
