Rumors of a Warcraft mobile game have been around since 2017 when Blizzard posted job postings for a new mobile game apparently based on the Warcraft franchise. A rumor in 2018 suggested that Blizzard was working on a Pokemon Go style AR game. Since Kotick says there are “multiple” projects, this might just be one of Blizzard’s many upcoming games.
There are already Warcraft inspired games on mobile considering Fireplace is a spin-off of the Warcraft collectible card game available for mobile devices.
