Cyberpunk 2077 has a strange specificity character creation tool that I may or may not have spent too much time in, but once you do your V? It’s your V for the whole game, unless you’re ready to start from scratch. While there is no official way to go back and make changes after creation, this Cyberpunk 2077 mod allows players to play around with different hairstyles to perfect that personal touch.
This week’s Mod Corner is focused on this particular mod because I was looking for something like that this weekend. A friend was playing and really didn’t like his Pigtail V, so we took a look at Nexus Mods to see what other gamers were up to. Uploaded on Sunday, this mod is called “Friendly Hairstyle Changer” and it’s a pretty straightforward post-creation process.
The mod in question works for both men and women V, allowing players to access their save files (on PC) and swap the digital assignment for the selected set:
The current mod is only for hairstyles, but many were asking for additional features. The mod creator mentioned that he plans to tweak this mod to also tackle beards, hair colors, and even facial features, but at the moment it is limited to different hairstyles.
It is quite easy to use. Once the initial hairstyle is selected, simply go to your save file and click on the Open file option, which should open your save folder. Once the backup folder opens, click on the most recent backup and double-click sav.dat file to select the desired new hairstyle (digitally marked in the images above) and press Save.
As usual, during any modding make sure to back up your backups in case of file corruption or through the 8 MB cap which was recently discovered.
