We keep a running account on all TV shows that have been canceled or that end so far in 2020. Some of the latest shows on the chopping block are Amazon reinvents the British cult series Utopia, and The Marvel Series Live From Hulu, Helstrom. When a series is abruptly canceled before it can wrap up its story, it can be for a number of reasons: ratings, budget, casting complications, and behind-the-scenes executive decisions that we’ll never fully understand.

On the other hand, shows such as Netflix’s The Crown and AMC’s The Walking Dead have announced their end in advance, allowing both shows to be released as they please and, hopefully, craft a finale of. the series with a satisfactory conclusion. In the case of The Walking Dead, the zombie juggernaut will end with an oversized season 11 consisting of 24 episodes (which will air over two years, ending in 2022), while The Crown will end after its sixth season (likely to air at the end of 2022), with Imelda Staunton succeeds Olivia Colman as the final version of Queen Elizabeth in Seasons 5 and 6.
