‘Fortnite’ will kick off its new season with a unique single-player mission

Fortnite players are used to being immersed in massive end-of-season events that bring hordes of players together to witness epic gameplay. But, this time around, developer Epic Games is changing things up. Instead of a multiplayer show, it kicks off its new season with a single-player mission that puts you in command of Agent Jones.

In one blog post, Epic describes the story mode as an “explosive” reality-altering event that concludes Jonesy’s mission in the Zero Crisis Finale. You can play it at the start of Chapter 2 Season 6 on March 16, or watch it online in cinematic form in a world premiere at a later date.

Fortnite ‘The previous season of its debuted in December after a record breaking final event that saw Jonesy and a slew of Marvel superheroes team up against the planet-devastating villain, Galactus. Season 5 has somehow managed to intensify the ties between the movies and the games, with an extensive roster of playable characters including The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda, the Terminator, street fighterof Ryu and Chun-Li and Ripley and the xenomorph queen of Extraterrestrial movie series. To top it off, Epic is promising its “most ambitious story cinematic” yet.
