Brick is the former boss of the Maelstrom who was defeated by Royce. during The pick up Main job, you will have the optional objective of freeing Brick. Here is how to do exactly that.
You’ll find Brick locked in what looks like a small closet in the Second Large Fighting Room. The left side of the room has two raised sub-rooms with glass windows, and its door is right between them.
As for the locked door, you have two options:
- The door controls themselves can be hacked into having a few RAMs trigger it remotely, opening the door and accessing The Brick.
- In the room with the detonator next to The Brick, look on the center table on the right to find a closed laptop, and open it to read emails – one of which is labeled “only you know”. This contains the door code – 9691
When you open the door, Brick warns you that a laser mine is aimed at him – if he moves, he dies. Look in the room to the right, you can find a detonator on a table near the door. If you are feeling ruthless, you can detonate it and kill Brick, otherwise disable it.
After you free Brick and deactivate the mine, mention that he technically owes you one, and he’ll promise to help you out if you ever see each other again after that – which means you probably will!
If you scan the Brick, you might notice that the NCPD has a massive bounty on its head – 5000 vortices! It’s up to you to decide if you are looking to get people in debt later in your adventure, or if you want some cash right now.
