India team players reacted with pride and joy as the team sealed their place in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. They did so by beating England by one end and 25 points in the fourth test in the four-game series that ended on Saturday.
In one video posted on the official BCCI website, India team the players shared their emotions as they reached the WTC final. Captain Virat kohli especially relieved to get to the top. He said in this regard:
“We are quite relieved to have reached the final. Probably if you look at the last couple of years, the way we’ve played, we deserve to be in this final. Now it’s just a matter of coming together as a group again and focusing on this big game, which is pretty exciting for all of us.
The captain of the Indian team managed to score two fifty in the first two tests of the series, but failed in both matches in Ahmedabad. However, over the course of the series Kohli became the Indian team’s most successful home captain, overtaking his predecessor MS Dhoni.

According to the vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, the place for the WTC Finals is a worthy reward for all of Team India’s hard work over the past few years.

Opener Rohit Sharma played a key role in Team India reaching the WTC Final. It was his century on the day of the opening of the second Test that turned the momentum on the path of the hosts. Believing that the team has emerged from difficult circumstances, Rohit Sharma observed:
“It has been a long journey since the start of the World Test Championship. We have played cricket well in India and outside India as well. We have been pressured and in difficult situations a number of times, and we have responded well to those situations, which is why we are here.
According to the series man Ravichandran Ashwin. The WTC final is literally the World Cup for Team India Test specialists like him, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and a few others. Ashwin, who claimed 32 wickets and also scored 100 in the series, admitted:
