This weekend marks three years since Sea of Thieves made its maiden voyage on Xbox One and Windows 10, and what a journey it has been! Since our launch in March 2018, over 20 million hackers have begun to chart their own tales of high seas adventure, and we couldn’t be more grateful. On behalf of everyone at Rare, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us on the Sea of Thieves trip so far – 2021 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet, so stay tuned for more!
And now to the festivities. To thank everyone for their support on the occasion of our third anniversary, we have a chest full of goodies and bonuses:
- Players who log in between March 18 (10:00 AM UTC) and March 25 (10:00 AM UTC) will receive this year’s birthday present: the Prosperous Captain’s Sails. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass member, you can also receive the Jump for Joy emote by logging in between March 18 and March 21!

- Our latest Season 1 update also goes live today, with the launch of an all-new Vault Raiders event (starting March 25) and the introduction of new wonders in the Pirate Emporium, including a free ROFL emote and this weekend’s big Emporium sale!
