Melbourne Stars’ Andre Fletcher, ‘The Spiceman’, fires against the Hobart Hurricanes at Blundstone Arena

Must read

“The Spiceman” tonight pulled off two howlers on the field and celebrated with dance moves that compatriot Dwayne Bravo must have applauded – and he did it all in 10 minutes.

West Indian artist Andre Fletcher of the Melbourne stars The former left Bellerive Oval onlookers in disbelief as he plucked a catch howler while lining up in a sweeping position on the offside line, tearing himself off the rope and diving to his right in the clash with the Hobart Hurricanes.

The 33-year-old, who played 45 T20 internationals and 25 one-day internationals, has been retired dangerous hurricane hitter Colin Ingram for 17.

And the dance moves that followed were epic.

“A little bit of (John) Travolta,” said Shane Warne, Fox Cricket commentator and Australian leg legend.

And before a jawbone of the cricket world had a chance to take off, “The Spiceman” was stunned again.

On this occasion, Fletcher deleted Star Hurricanes drummer Ben McDermott – who had beaten 91 races in just 58 deliveries – when he landed another classic take as he plunged at full speed to the offside limit.

He celebrated his second brilliant take by getting down on his knees and showing his best limbo moves to those of the Hobart bench.

‘The Spiceman’ stuns with second scream of a take in 10 minutes

“He did it once, he did it twice. Look how excited he is!” Fox Cricket commentator Mark Howard said.

“Play this a hundred times and you’ll always shake your head.”
