The Xbox community meets Coach, the MLB The Show mascot who happens to be a puppet. The coach knows baseball and everyone’s favorite MLB players. We will be posting new Coach and Fernando Tatis Jr. videos that showcase the features of MLB The Show 21 leading up to the launch. These fun videos will give you important information about various game improvements, leading to more in-depth, forward-looking (Next-Gen) reveals.

Personalized and targeted gameplay
Are you new to The Show? Welcome to the party. So you want to know more about the gameplay? We’ve got you covered. New in MLB The Show 21 are styles of play that allow you to tailor the type of gaming experience you are looking for at any given time. Are you looking for a casual experience where you can go shopping? Or are you looking for a more traditional experience that plays out more intense and more real in life? Maybe you want a real test of your stick skills, where your abilities with the controller are paramount.
Tailored gameplay is just the tip of the iceberg. The team invested significant development time in other areas of the gameplay – our main focus being fly catches, wall catches (jumping / reaching / stealing circuits, crashing into the wall, etc. ) and the catch that comes. outside of the z-axis (if you’re taking a route that isn’t exactly perfect) we have a lot of new takes that you’ll see play off the axis you’re using. It feels good and we can’t wait for everyone to try it. For the pitch, we’ve introduced a whole new mechanic … but more on that and the other gameplay improvements in March.
MLB The Show 21 First features
This year, we will be rolling out previews, which will be broadcast simultaneously on Tic, Youtube, and Facebook Live. Much like our live streams from previous years, the early features will give an in-depth look at the new features and changes we’ve been working on that make this year’s game better than its predecessor. Clear your afternoon schedules on Thursday afternoons, as a new Premiers feature airs every Thursday at 3 p.m. PT starting March 11, 2021.
