Netflix has been pretty quiet on Outside the wire, a science fiction thriller with Anthony Mackie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Modified carbon. But today we get our first look at the action thanks to a trailer that just released that shows Mackie playing an Android super-soldier. Plot details are still pretty hazy, but the video description indicates that a ‘disgraced drone pilot’ played by co-star Damson Idris finds himself sent to a dangerous militarized area where he joins forces with Mackie to locate an “apocalyptic device”. The cyborg and human then face off against huge squads of threatening robots, action ensues.
The trailer mostly focuses on the awesome battle scenes rather than giving a lot of information on how or why things are going – but with a month to go. Outside the wire arrives on Netflix, it’s safe to assume that a few more trailers will arrive before that date.
