Pepe Le Pew won’t make an appearance in Space Jam 2 after his scene is cut

Controversial French Looney Tunes Skunk Pepe Le Pew Has Her Scene Cut Space Jam: a new legacy and will no longer make an appearance in the sequel to the film he was a part of in 1997. Deadline, There was a live hybrid animation scene that was filmed in June 2019 and starred both Pepe Le Pew and actress Jane the Virgin Greice Santo.

This particular scene was filmed by Space Jam: A New Legacy lead director Terence Nance, but was cut by his replacement, Malcolm D. Lee, even before the scene was animated.

The scene in question has been described as follows;

“Pepe was about to appear in black and white Casablanca-like the Rick’s Cafe sequence. Pepe, playing a bartender, starts hitting a woman at the bar played by Santo. He starts to kiss her arm, which she pulls back, then slams Pepe into the chair next to hers. She then pours her glass over Pepe and slaps him hard, sending him spinning in a stool, which is then stopped by LeBron James’ hand. James and Bugs Bunny are looking for Lola and Pepe knows where she is. Pepe then tells the guys that the cat Penelope has filed a restraining order against him.
