Raya and the Last Dragon – Review

Must read

[ad_1]

Raya and the Last Dragon is a beautifully animated, action-packed hero’s journey, and a great new evolution of modern Disney princess movies. Where recent Disney Princess movies reminded young girls that they can be heroes too, Raya and the Last Dragon teaches viewers about the dangers of tackling it on their own. It’s a smart new evolution in the coming-of-age princess action story, with a clear line to the princess predecessors in Frozen and Moana. The film features an exceptional voice cast including Kelly Marie Tran, Awkwafina, Izaac Wang, Gemma Chan, Daniel Dae Kim, Benedict Wong, Jona Xiao, Sandra Oh, Thalia Tran, Lucille Soong, Alan Tudyk, Gordon Ip, Dichen Lachman, Patti Harrison, Jon “Dumbfoundead” Park, Sung Kang, Sierra Katow, Ross Butler, François Chau and Paul Yen. Don Hall and Carlos LĂłpez Estrada lead, with Paul Briggs and John Ripa co-lead. Osnat Shurer and Peter Del Vecho are the producers, and Qui Nguyen and Adele Lim wrote the screenplay. Raya and the Last Dragon from Walt Disney Animation Studios will be available on Disney + with Premier Access in most Disney + markets, at the same time as it hits select theaters on March 5, 2021.
