Resident Evil Movie Reboot shares first preview of new poster ahead of September release

We’ve had a plethora of Resident Evil movies in the past, but that doesn’t mean more aren’t on the way. First announced in 2019, the release date for the next Resident Evil movie reboot is set in stone for later this year, bringing director Johannes Roberts’ vision to life, and to celebrate we have our first look at the movie poster.

Actor Chad Rook took to Twitter to share a Sony Pictures movie poster, equipped with a release on September 3 date at the bottom. In addition to the Netflix animated series also on the way, Resident Evil experiences will continue to happen, especially with Resident Evil Village also on the decline later this year.

The September 3 release date was confirmed in February, but we haven’t seen anything from the movie since it was announced outside of leaked photos and casting decisions.

“With this movie, I really wanted to go back to the first two original games and recreate the terrifying visceral experience I had when I first played them while telling a human story rooted in a dying small American town. both relevant and relevant to today’s audience, ” Johannes said previously.

The next resident Evil The film’s reboot will take place in a new universe inspired by the iconic Capcom franchise, including main characters we’ve fallen in love with over the years. He also has a star team behind the film, including Robert Kulzer as a producer (Paul WS Anderson’s resident Evil movies), James Harris (I’m not a serial killer), Hartley Gorenstein (The boys), and Martin Moszkowicz as executive producer. Alex Zhang (Doggy style) and Victor Hadida are slated to become co-executive producer, with Colin Scully and Alex Westmore overseeing the entire reboot.

  • Hannah John-Kamen (The ant Man) as Jill Valentine
  • Robbie Amell (Download) as Chris Redfield
  • Tom Hopper (Umbrella Academy) as Wesker
  • Avan Jogia (Zombieland: double tap) as Leon Kennedy
  • Neal McDonough (Yellowstone) as William Birkin

With so many Resident Evil experiences on the horizon, it’ll be interesting to see how this new film reboot stacks up. Paul WS Anderson’s original series was met with great fanfare when the film series began, but each new movie seemed to move further and further away from what Resident Evil is.
