U.S. lawmakers are pushing to impeach President Donald Trump for the recent deadly violence on Capitol Hill, as federal officials indicted more people on Saturday in the pro-Trump riot.

Rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6 as Congress convened to certify the electoral victory of President-elect Joe Biden. They had rallied to support Trump’s repeated claims that the November presidential competition was “stolen” from him.

Trump ultimately condemned the violence in a video released Thursday, swearing that “those who broke the law, you will pay.” But in a separate statement, he said he totally disagreed “with the outcome of the election.”
No more rioters arrested

The man identified as Johnson wears a knitted beanie that says “Trump” and “45” and looks bubbly during the chaotic scene.

On Friday, the FBI said 13 more people were facing federal charges. Approximately 40 people have been indicted to date in the Superior Court in Washington, DC.
Push for an investigation
