Russell Wilson is a mobile quarterback, but could he be on the move?

Wilson has, once again, been sacked an exorbitant number of times in 2020, taking down 47 times. Wilson was sacked 48 times in 2019.

It has become a frustration, according to a report, with CBS Sports ‘Jason La Canfora reporting Tuesday that Wilson’s side has become “increasingly frustrated with the Seahawks’ inability to protect him.”

Canfora also adds that “this situation warrants serious surveillance”.

The “serious surveillance” part is particularly interesting, given that a Camphor Report said multiple teams have ensured the Seahawks’ QB’s availability, which has hinted that there may be a small growing schism between the two sides. NFL Network insiders reported there was “no chance” the Seahawks trade Wilson.

Wilson, 32, is entering the 10th year of his NFL career and has been sacked 394 times in 144 regular season games. He’s never been sacked less than 33 times in a season, and that happened in his first year in 2012. PFF has 14th ranked Hawks offensive line in the league after the end of the regular season.

While the Seahawks have attempted to improve the offensive line in recent years, efforts have proved unsuccessful. Wilson’s 47 sacks were tied for third in the league, despite playing as a QB MVP the first half of the season.

The team also canned offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer this offseason after another disappointing playoff exit, a move Wilson was not too happy about.

With the disappointment report, the questioning of the dismissal of Schottenheimer and with NFL teams calling Seattle questioning Wilson’s availability, where there is smoke, the fire usually follows.
