As TechCrunch suggests, the launch could indicate an improvement in Sony’s supply chain, allowing the tech giant to launch the console in a new region. Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, confirmed Shortly after the US debut of the PS5, the device sold out completely. He said the shortage would have occurred regardless of COVID-19, but the biggest problem caused by the pandemic was in pre-production due to travel and other restrictions. “Everything is sold. Absolutely everything is sold … I spend a lot more time trying to increase the supply to meet this demand, ”he revealed.
