Never stop dreaming. If you’re like me, you’ve dreamed of superpowers, aliens, and secret societies since you were eight years old. Here’s a game with a bit of everything mixed up in a weird world that looks a lot like a third world country.
Ok, I know I said weird, but words like different, funny or clever are not enough to describe Covered. Don’t get me wrong: it’s weird and funny that I love the most. I love black humor as much as the next one, and I’m one of those who has a hard time not reading between the lines every time I hear the news. Let’s be honest, it’s hard to keep your mind from pondering conspiracy theories. Tell me, have you ever looked up at the sky asking aliens to invade us now before it’s too late? Because I have, several times!
I’m only human and Covered does not help at all. Suddenly, I came across a game that mocks politicians, questions entire society, has no respect for religion, talks about an ancient prophecy, and makes you aware of secret societies. It’s like my childhood again.
Sometimes good looks, cool graphics, and good storytelling just aren’t enough. Sometimes you need superpowers. And I’m not talking about flying in a cape or being that undefeated guy. No fun there. I mean command a demon and the ability to see everyone’s true intentions. Here’s where masks make the difference. Did anyone say masks? Yes, there are many waiting for you.
Everyone has something to hide. From cruel intentions to greed, or a voracious need for power, you name it. That is why CoveredThe company has been divided into levels, where you can spot criminals, workers, politicians and even famous people, and yes you guessed it right there is a mask for each one.
When the studio told me about this project, I had to say yes almost immediately, as my alien / believing child was bouncing up and down.
Well, I’ve said too much already, and the game isn’t even available yet. But it will be soon, and in the meantime, check out the teaser above. We can compare the ratings after that.
