The best weapons to find and use
Lizzie – Technical gun
A little after Act 2 starts, you will have access to Automatic love mission. After talking to Judy at Lizzie’s Bar, you can grab Lizzie’s gun from the table outside her room. This pistol is great because it fires an extra shot every time you pull the trigger and increases the number of shots fired when loaded.
Fenrir – Electric submachine gun
Fenrir is an absolute powerhouse that can be caught early on by visiting a monk near the northern docks area of Watson. After helping him save his brother, you can collect this iconic weapon from the Maelstrom gang. Fenrir is excellent for melting enemies – literally. It deals thermal damage and has the ability to deal burn damage over it. This is a weapon that you will want to improve and keep with you throughout the game, as it is useful in almost any situation.
Skippy – Smart Gun
Not only is Skippy an incredibly powerful and unique smart gun that scales with the user’s level, he also speaks and has a full personality. This weapon is in the Heywood area as part of an optional side mission where you have to collect it from someone’s corpse in an alleyway. Skippy has a lethal or non-lethal mode (although not what they seem at first!) which you can select when you first pick it up after having a short chat with the rather sassy weapon.

Widow Maker – Tech Sniper Rifle
Widow Maker is an optional iconic weapon that can deal serious damage. It fires two projectiles per shot and has the ability to deal poison damage when shots are charged. While working with Panam during the Dead city mission, she will talk about getting revenge on Nash. This weapon can be missed, so be sure to select the option “OK. So where is this hiding place?” during your conversation with Panam for the opportunity to defeat Nash and his gang. Then you can loot Widow Maker from Nash’s body, adding this powerful weapon to your arsenal.
Overwatch – Powerful Sniper Rifle
Panam’s trusty sniper rifle can be yours after completing the Riders on the Storm Extra work. Once you’ve fulfilled its requirements, the sniper rifle will be wedged next to the motorcycle just before Panam pulls away. This sniper rifle deals high damage, has a faster than average reload speed, and is very accurate. Her full potential is unlocked at body level 6 – which will increase her overall potency.
Prototype: Shingen Mark V – Intelligent submachine gun
This iconic smart submachine gun can be found during the Gimme Danger mission in Act 2. He’s hidden inside an open Arasaka truck inside the compound, guarded by a distant mine that you must quickly deactivate. Like other smart people weapons, this weapon automatically targets and fires at enemies inside the smart targeting box, launching a series of projectiles at up to three enemies simultaneously. It’s a great weapon to pull out when you’re outnumbered. It also has a high critical damage modifier and the ability to burn enemies.
