US President Donald Trump urged thousands of supporters to march on the US Capitol in Washington, DC on Wednesday, sparking a chaotic scene in which crowds entered the building, sent lawmakers underground and left a police officer and four others dead in their wake.

Democratic lawmakers drafted articles impeaching Trump for “inciting violence” on Capitol Hill. Articles of impeachment could be introduced by House Democrats on Monday, according to US media.
