Toy day event schedules

The main Toy Day event will take place from 6 a.m. to 5 a.m. sure 24 December, 2020, otherwise known as Christmas Eve.

It is important to note as from update v1.6.0, all new vacations events are time-locked, which means you cannot time travel to those events before they actually happen.

For more information on time travel to Toy Day, check out our helpful guide below:

How to prepare for toy day

The main thing you need to prepare for on Toy Day is to accumulate toys from Nook’s Cranny. From the 1st December, Nook’s Cranny will start selling toys on the blue carpet to the left of the door. You will want as many toys as you have villager; it doesn’t matter who gets what gift.

It will take 10 days if you have the full amount of villager on your island, because the toys rotate daily. If you’re not too worried about it, you can just buy 10 of the same toy on the same day.

You will also need some ornaments that you can shake from the spruce tree. Trees that grow in the upper levels of your island. It’s not something you should strictly do before Toy Day, but it’s something you might not be able to do if you’ve only recently started the game.

From December 1, you will find several options of party clothing at Capable sisters, including pieces for a Santa outfit, as well as a party dress and a reindeer costume.

All these clothes appear at random until the day of the toy. On the day of the toy, each piece of the costumes will be in stock at Capable sisters. Santa’s outfit does not include boots, so you will have to improvise with others.

Arrive on December On 24 a.m. – 6 p.m., kick off the Toy Day celebrations by discovering Jingle the Reindeer in Event Square, just across from Resident Services.

Toy Day, as well as the holiday season in general, offers many DIY recipes to get into the holiday spirit, including Christmas Trees, Gifts and of course giant light decorations!

Visit the first link below for more on all the festive DIY recipes, and visit the second link for the crafts you can get by helping Jingle out on the day of the toy itself.

After helping Jingle out, you’ll be able to visit every villager on your island and gift them the toys you bought them earlier in the month. Don’t forget to wrap them!
