Venom: May there be carnage has experienced another short delay and has moved from its September 17, 2021 release date to September 24, 2021.
Update 03/17/2021:The Venom sequel has been delayed from its previously confirmed June 2021 release date.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage will now hit theaters, including 3D, IMAX, and other large premium formats, on September 17, 2021, rather than June 25 of this year.

Sony Pictures has officially announced that the release of Venom 2 has been postponed until next year.

The sequel, now titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage, will now hit theaters on June 25, 2021. It was originally scheduled to open on October 2, 2020.

Sony released this short video to announce the release date and title change:

Andy Serkis directs the sequel to Venom, which sees Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, and Woody Harrelson reprising their 2018 blockbuster roles as Eddie Brock, Anne Weying, and Cletus Kasady, respectively.Naomie Harris plays the villainous Shriek in the movie.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the latest high profile Hollywood film hit due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has stopped film productions around the world and caused the studios to postpone the release of their films. Sony had previously delayed the release dates for Uncharted, Morbius and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
