Everything you need to know about next week’s Outriders demo

People can fly delayed The Outriders release on April 1, but sweetened that hit by announcing a pretty big demo for fans to check out starting February 25. It’s in a few days, so the developer took Twitter (first spotted by Eurogamer) to give enthusiastic gamers a taste of what to expect from the next try.

First of all, People Can Fly points out that it will be a free demo and do not a beta version. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The PC install size requires a minimum of 24 GB. On consoles, you will need at least 22 GB. Development teams note that both may increase in size after unzipping. You will not be able to pre-install the demo first.

The demo includes the prologue and the opening chapter of the game. It runs until the showdown with Grauss, the first big boss fight, after which the side quests will open and players can return to the open world to explore. . Character levels cap at 7, and players can try out all four classes and keep six character slots, meaning you can save each character’s builds without removing any. People Can Fly says that at 7th level players will have their 4th class ability, which will give them enough powers to play with.

Players can upgrade to World Tier 5, which increases dynamic difficulty enough to allow for rare equipment drops. Crafting resources will be capped at a certain point to maintain balance, and while the crafting itself is not activated until the full game is played, players can save the resources collected in the demo until then.

All progress transfers to the main game, provided you are playing it on the same platform account you played the demo with. You cannot earn achievements / trophies in the demo, but in-game rewards carry over. The demo will feature crossplay, but must be activated manually as it is still in beta. There is no time limit for the demo, and it will remain accessible even after the launch of Outriders.

Finally, the studio has also released a release schedule for each available territory:

Outriders releases April 1 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC. Are you going to see the demo? Let us know in the comments!
