The parent company of Google Alphabet has released its fourth quarter and full year 2020 results and the numbers are staggering. The company made $ 56.9 billion in the quarter ended Dec. 31, an increase of 23% from the $ 46.1 billion recorded last year. CFO Ruth Porat said in a statement that revenues were “driven by search and YouTube, as consumer and business activity recovered from the start of the year.
This continues a trend of revenue growth that we seen the last quarter, when Alphabet said it earned $ 46.2 billion versus $ 40.5 billion in the same period in 2019. Of the $ 56.9 billion made this quarter, $ 52.9 billion came from Google Services, $ 3.8 billion from Google Cloud and $ 196 million from the Other Bets division. In total, Alphabet earned $ 182.5 billion in 2020.
