World tennis superstar Ash Barty has apologized after flouting COVID-19 laws while shopping in Melbourne.
The Australian champion was seen today without a mask at a Coles store in Prahran, east Melbourne, as Victoria demanded that masks be worn in indoor malls and large retail stores in the fight against the coronavirus.

Barty’s manager released a statement shortly after, describing her actions as “an innocent mistake” and saying the 24-year-old would become more serious about following virus regulations.
Barty recently attacked his international rivals complaining about the strict stance on Australian Open competitors overseas, saying protocols were to “keep the Melburnians safe” and “to ensure that health is the priority “.
