Australian opener David Warner has recorded his worst three consecutive innings at home after dropping for just one point in the opening of Gabba’s decisive fourth Test against India.

It was the revolutionary series bowler Mohammed Siraj who convinced the Aussie batsman with a vicious delivery, Rohit Sharma quickly taking to the ground to take a brilliant grip on the slides.

Warner received his marching orders for just one round of three deliveries, and with it was set his worst record on Australian soil to date.

“Just to add weight to the enormity of David Warner’s dismissal in this opening, in three innings he’s had in this test series he scored 5, 13 and 1,” said Australian great Adam. Gilchrist on Fox Cricket.

“It’s his worst of three straight runs in Australia.

“It’s the end of the series, but Warner has just come back from an injury. But he’s averaged 68 on this pitch before today.

“So it’s a wonderful start for India to get rid of such a dangerous player.”

Warner has struggled to settle into the Crease since his Test summer was derailed by a groin injury suffered in the previous limited series.
