Batman cast member reveals details about Colin Farrell’s unrecognizable penguin

Must read

Colin Farrell to play Oswald Cobblepot / Penguin in Matt Reeves’ The batman, but it will not look anything like itself. The change is so drastic that another cast member mistook it for a random “overconfident” extra on the set of the movie. Movieweb, Rupert Penry-Jones, who plays a “mysterious victim” in The Batman, admitted he had no idea he was talking to Farrell while in full costume.“I got on set and there was this guy walking around and being so confident,” Penry-Jones said. “I had no idea who he was. He was really nice, he was telling all these stories, I was like, ‘Who is this guy?’ I thought he could have been a supporting actor [an extra to you and me]. He kept talking to me, just really friendly, really sweet, and I started to notice things about his costume. He had a brace on his leg and these weird scars on his face, and I was like, ‘That’s a lot of effort they put in for a supporting artist …’ and suddenly I got realized, “ Wait a minute this dude must be playing the penguin, oh my gosh it’s Colin Farrell! ‘”
We get a glimpse of Farrell’s penguin in the trailer for The Batman, and the actor previously explained how excited he was about his role in the movie and how there would be some “tasty scenes”.

“I was just getting started and I can’t wait to come back,” Farrell said. “The creation of this one, the character aesthetic, was fun and I’m really, really excited to come back and explore it. And I don’t have much to do. I have a certain amount in it. the movie. I’m not everywhere. But there are some tasty scenes that I have in it and my creation and I can’t wait to come back. Yeah, I really feel like it’s something that I didn’t haven’t had a chance to explore before. It’s quirky and fun. But I’m only at the start of the trip, so I can’t wait to go back and really get started. “
