Bobby Lashley to defend WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37

Must read

The WWE Universe has been made to believe that the winner of Drew McIntyre against Sheamus in Fastlane would dispute Bobby lashley for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 37.

However, the match has already been formalized and Sheamus is away. Drew McIntyre will challenge Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania for the WWE Title.

The match was announced at the start of tonight’s edition of WWE RAW, rendering McIntyre’s Sunday match against Sheamus rather pointless. With Bobby Lashley’s opponent already decided, the All Mighty’s road to WrestleMania has officially started.

Why is Sheamus no longer in Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship equation?

Instead of competing for a shot at Bobby Lashley this Sunday at Fastlane, Sheamus will face him tonight on WWE RAW. No one knows why those plans changed so suddenly, but it adds another confirmed match to the WWE WrestleMania map.

Aside from Lashley vs McIntyre, only two other matches have been officially announced for the biggest stop of all.

  • Roman Reigns to defend WWE Universal Championship against Edge
  • Sasha Banks to defend WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair
  • Bobby Lashley to defend WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre

With WrestleMania less than a month away and tickets on sale very soon, it would be in WWE’s best interest to have this card announced as quickly as possible.

WWE Fastlane is the company’s latest pay-per-view event on the US version of the WWE Network and the final pay-per-view until WrestleMania.

Are you happy to see Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship opponent already decided? Or would you have preferred to see a No.1 contenders game played first at Fastlane on Sunday? Let us know by making your voice heard in the comments section below.
