The April Update makes several exciting additions to World of Warships: Legends as the game celebrates its second year since its early access release. Get ready to unlock and command aircraft carriers, participate in a new campaign, and prepare for the new seasons of Arena mode! Let’s start with a look at the new flattops.
Aircraft carriers are here to stay and explore the high seas! Your feedback on the airstrike earlier this year has been largely positive, although we’ve made some changes in the meantime. First of all there are the balance changes, we made some adjustments to give the carriers a little more power in combat. Most importantly, we’ve added an automatic navigation system based on your feedback to allow you to reposition your ship while piloting your squadrons. Other types of ships have also received means to improve their anti-aircraft firepower in the form of Commander skills, Mods, and, for Cruisers, the Defensive Anti-Aircraft Fire consumable. How do you get into a carrier, you ask?
You’ll be able to start looking for American and Japanese carriers throughout the line from day one, with Langley, Hōshō, Ranger, and Ryūjō returning to Tier III and V, while two newcomers arrive at Tier VII – Shōkaku and Lexington. . The carrying branch of the tech tree comes from Tier III battleships. Also make sure you get a head start in the Commander game by completing a set of unique missions available throughout this update to earn Carrier-specific Commanders Ernest King and Tamon Yamaguchi. Get ready for a whole new dimension of combat, captains!
The new Limit Breaker campaign will also be featured in the April Update, for 5 weeks with 100 milestones to complete. The crown jewel of Limit Breaker is the Japanese cruiser Suzuya, this Mogami-class cruiser brings an impressive flank of fifteen 155mm guns and plenty of torpedoes to keep enemies at bay. Combine its weaponry with exceptional mobility and you have a powerful light cruiser! Suzuya served throughout WWII, but in reconstructed form. She saw action in several key battles, including the massive Battle of Leyte Gulf, where she was sunk by American planes. More importantly, the top three ranks, namely 25%, 10%, and 1%, will receive steel badges, so now is the best time to start working on those steel reserves! Week-long seasons begin April 19 and May 3.
