With his modest Minimum System Requirements, you can play Fortnite on almost every computer made in the last decade, but the experience may not be the best. Thankfully, Epic Games is introducing a new Performance Mode to help those stuck with less performing systems.
From December 15th (tomorrow) you will find the Performance mode in Fortnite settings menu. In one blog post spotted by Polygon, Epic says this makes the battle royale “run better than ever and maintain a smoother framerate.” It does this by lowering certain visual quality settings, thus relieving the workload on your computer’s processor and GPU. If you play Fortnite on a system that barely responds to gaming minimum system requirements, it will prompt you to try the feature the next time you jump into the title. You can turn off Performance mode at any time afterwards.
