Jamal Murray made famed groin assassin Draymond Green subtle Monday night when he took a swing at Mavericks guard Tim Hardaway Jr.
Unlike green – which antics at the 2016 Western Conference Finals at least required a debate on intent – Murray’s attack in the third quarter was unchallengeable as anything other than blatant aggression; the playmaker was fouled by Flagrant 2 and was sent off for the incident. Murray could also face a league fine.
Hardaway recovered and launched into a personal tear to close the quarter: after sinking both technical free throws, he made two three-point throws and dived in just over a minute’s time. This is a 10 point increase, with the jewelry compromised.
