Aaron Carter claimed to have beaten Shaq. Now can he defeat Lamar Odom?
That’s the question the artist faces following Wednesday’s announcement that he and the 14-year-old NBA veteran were inked at a celebrity boxing match. TMZ, who made the headlines, reports that Odom, 41, and Carter, 33, will fight in a three-round show scheduled for June 12 – and the two are already training for their fight.
Celebrity Boxing CEO Damon Feldman told TMZ he expects a big fight between the two.
“It’s gonna be a war, man,” Feldman said. “It’s going to be a knockout, there’s no doubt about it.”

Odom may be the older of the two fighters, but he has a significant height advantage: 6-10, against Carter’s 6-1. He should also have a significant advantage at 230 pounds. Still, Odom hasn’t played in the NBA since 2012-13, but played a season in the Big3 in 2019.
Either way, Odom will be looking to avoid the fate of Nate Robinson, who suffered a brutal – and viral – knockout at the hands of YouTube personality Jake Paul in November.
Either that or Odom will be the second basketball player Carter beat.
