LeBron James threw a free throw, then Twitter tried to dunk him

Must read

LeBron James is not the greatest free throw shooter in the world. He is 73% for his career and 71% this season. But because he’s King James, he’s going to have tons of heartache every time one of his free throws is badly missed.

Concrete example: his air balloon in the third quarter Thursday against the Nuggets. It was nothing but clean – just on the wrong side of the net.

Twitter, naturally, had thoughts moments after this happened. Some of his attempts were just as weak and offline.

Perhaps Twitter was distracted by its hatred for the referees, who missed a boundary violation by James earlier in the game and then called for several fouls against the Nuggets. These were clear signs to enemies that officials are in James’ pocket and that the league wants the Lakers to win.

In other words, the peanut gallery was throwing more balls of air.
