The NBA opener between the Warriors and the Nets didn’t provide much entertainment, but Kevin Durant’s post-game interview certainly did.
After Brooklyn’s 125-99 victory over Golden State on Tuesday, the “NBA over TNT” team caught up with Durant, who scored 22 points in his first meaningful action since sustaining an Achilles injury during the 2019 NBA Finals. The two-time Finals MVP didn’t seem at all interested in arguing with Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, and Shaquille O’Neal, although he wasn’t exactly riddled with good questions.

An exchange turned out to be particularly troublesome. Barkley attempted to get an answer regarding Durant’s recovery process, but his wording allowed Durant to respond with a simple “Yeah.”
This opened the door for the panel to poke fun at Barkley and Durant with their own half-hearted responses.
Of course, TNT was not going to show this clip just once. Following the conclusion of the Clippers-Lakers game, Ernie, Kenny and Shaq were cracking at the shots.
Even Warriors forward Draymond Green, who missed opening night with a foot injury, had fun.

It’s good to see that the “NBA on TNT” is already in high season.
