“I’m coming back to the airwaves to say ….. Season 1 of COWBOY BEBOP is finally over,” Pineda wrote. “I will dive again but I will come back after these messages.”
The first season started filming in the summer of 2019. About five episodes of the series ended filming when production was halted due to an injury to the leg of series star John Cho, who plays Spike.
At the time, the shooting was to be interrupted for 7 to 9 months. Likely due to COVID-19, it took a year before the cameras rolled again.
Netflix has so far released a 10-episode first season for Cowboy Bebop, which currently has no release date. Six more cast members were recently announced to be part of the project, including who plays Chalmers and Ana.
Cowboy Bebop joins the trend of live anime adaptations in the works, including One Piece, Akira, and Naruto.Anyone looking for more traditional anime suggestions should check out the list of the best anime series on Netflix right now.
