New Ratchet and Clank animated short unrelated to PS5’s Rift Apart

A brand new Ratchet & Clank An animated short mysteriously appeared on Canadian streaming service Crave. But according to PlayStation, Ratchet & Clank: Life of Pie is an original licensed animation unrelated to the upcoming PS5 game Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Reddit users discovered mysterious new Ratchet & Clank animation on streaming service Really want to. More than that, Life of Pie also played the original cast of the Ratchet & Clank video games.

The animation was produced by Mainframe, who created the animated film, and the credits indicate that the feature was produced in 2019. But PlayStation has confirmed to IGN that Life of Pie is unrelated to the upcoming PS5 game. and not to the cannon.

“Ratchet & Clank: Life of Pie is a special, independently licensed animation created and distributed by Mainframe Studios,” said a spokesperson for PlayStation. “The show is unrelated to the upcoming Ratchet & Clank game for PlayStation 5 and is not the official canon of the franchise video game narrative.”

Mainframe Studios is the same production company that created Ratchet & Clank: The Movie, which itself was a tie-in to the PlayStation 4 game Ratchet & Clank (which is fantastic, according to IGN’s opinion).

The the movie itself doesn’t quite reach the heights game, but if you enjoyed it, now there’s another mini-feature available on Crave for your viewing pleasure.

But if you’re excited about Ratchet & Clank’s PS5 release, then unfortunately Life of Pie won’t have any secret Easter Eggs for you. however, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Coming Soon June 11, 2021. And no, we still don’t know the name of the mysterious new Lombax.
