Super Bowl weekend is more than just a game. It is also a time to look back on the season and honor the past of professional football.
This nod to the past comes with the announcement of a new class of inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The 2021 group will be of traditional size (eight inductees in total); last year, the HOF greatly expanded the list of consecrated persons in conjunction with the NFL Centennial Celebration.
A member of Class ’21 – the most obvious inductee – was unofficially announced about a week earlier. Hall of Fame voters have agreed on Peyton Manning, who will enter Canton in his first year on the ballot.
