Nathan Brown’s future is in limbo after the Parramatta eels withdrew his initial contract offer after the striker refused to accept him before the club’s deadline.
According to AgeParramatta filed a two-year, $ 1.2 million contract with the 28-year-old months ago, giving him a deadline before signing the deal.

While it is understood his preference is to stay with the Eels, Brown was looking for a contract longer than the two-year deal he was offered.
After testing his market value, reports suggested Brown had some interest in Manly, but he could now re-sign with the Eels for a one-year contract with an option.
Brown started his career with stints at the Wests Tigers and South Sydney, but has seen his stock increase since joining the Eels in 2017, where he played 73 games in the NRL.
The attacker was awarded with his first State of Origin jersey last year after a solid season, where he played two games for Brad Fittler’s Blues team.
Brown is one of three Eels stars who are technically out of contract, with Mitchell Moses and Ryan Matterson having player options in their respective offerings.
